“I'm really looking forward to meeting God's people in other places and learning from them” - Emily
Beccy and Dan visited a project in Santa Cruz in 2011

We're providing some equipment for this children's project in Santa Cruz which Beccy and Dan visited soon after it started in 2011

“There are blind spots in our Western form of Christianity which the church in Bolivia could probably highlight” - Matt

One of the aims of the trip is to build links between our churches by working alongside each other. As well as joining in with regular church activities, the team have been asked to help with some specific projects in each of the 4 cities to be visited.

La Paz

  • Running a health education project for deprived children with Iglesia Anglicana Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer)
  • Supporting street children and reaching out to students with Iglesia Anglicana Cristo Salvador (Christ the Saviour)
  • Taking the Christian message to the local community around the recently-established Mision Cristo Resucitado (Risen Christ)

  • Refurbishing a playground adjoining Iglesia Anglicana La Trinidad (Trinity Church) and holding a community event

  • Working with different groups in Iglesia Anglicana Jesús El Buen Pastor (Jesus the Good Shepherd) to learn how we can grow in faith and fellowship
  • Helping the same church to buy musical instruments for praise and worship and upgrade their PA system
  • Developing the facilities of Iglesia Anglicana La Santa Cruz (Holy Cross) to serve in one of the most deprived areas of the city

Santa Cruz

  • Providing equipment to help the young people of Iglesia Anglicana Cristo Luz del Mundo (Christ the Light of the World) with their work among children in a poor suburb of the city
  • Helping Iglesia Anglicana Cristo Pan de Vida (Christ the Bread of Life) to run a sports tournament for families in the local Market Association: a welcome break for the hardworking business people and a means of promoting the church's work among children
  • And finally... taking part in a 2-day conference for Christian leaders in Bolivia to exchange ideas for engaging with our local communities
