The Christ Church building was completed in February 2008, replacing the Hall and Scout Hut that had previously stood on the site for several decades. It was purpose-built to be as useful as possible to the wider community as well as the church.

In these pages you can find out about:

Also on offer is a photo tour of the building, though it's much better to come and see the real thing!

Visitors can find information about our location, car parking etc here.

Launching the building

When the building was first opened, we arranged a series of special events to launch the building in the local community. These included a comedy evening, a multimedia sports quiz, a tea dance, a wine tasting session, a choir concert, circus skills training for children and a Scouts and Guides Open Day - all in addition to our regular activities.

The building regularly hosts a wide variety of activities and events, including drama, music, parties, public meetings and small groups. We continue to develop it - for instance, by the installation of acoustic tiling in 2010 - and to acquire more equipment to add to its usefulness.
