The Christ Church building

The new Christ Church building was completed in February 2008, replacing the Hall and Scout Hut that had previously stood on the site for several decades.

Launching the building

April 2008 was designated as a month to launch the building in the local community. We arranged a series of special events to appeal to a wide range of people and interests, and it was good to meet many new people through these events and satisy the curiosity of our neighbours about what we are up to.

By the time the building was just two months old, it had already played host to a comedy evening, a multimedia sports quiz, a tea dance, a wine tasting session, a choir concert, circus skills training for children and a Scouts and Guides Open Day - all in addition to our regular activities.
