An exhibition by the Art Group<\/strong> was one of the main features at this year’s Craft Fayre. The Lunch Club<\/b><\/a> team, led by Phil and Beryl, brought many different church groups and outside organisations together in one event which attracted a steady stream of visitors. Over \u00a3800 was raised which will benefit children in Kenya and Tanzania.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This year’s Craft Fayre filled our main hall with a variety of stalls and activities. The largest was an exhibition by the Art Group<\/b><\/a>, who filled a whole wall with their work. Church groups and members, the Scouts and other stallholders displayed their work, sold goods and provided activities for children.<\/p>\n

Over \u00a3800 was raised at the event which will be divided between the project to rebuild a Kindergarten in Kenya<\/b><\/a> and the Amani Children’s Home<\/b><\/a> which rescues street children in Tanzania.<\/p>\n

In the smaller hall the catering team worked hard throughout to supply soup, rolls, cakes and drinks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Cathie ran a “Guess the weight of the pineapple” competition and informed visitors about the Amani Children’s Home<\/p><\/div>\n

Decorating cup cakes: this craft activity was popular with children<\/p><\/div>\n

Bobbie ran a stall to raise funds for the kindergarten in Kenya and to explain the project<\/p><\/div>\n

The Revive youth group sold bags, candles, chocolates and hand-painted tiles<\/p><\/div>\n

Another craft activity: making decorated bookmarks. Work has just started on this one<\/p><\/div>\n
