Christmas is an opportunity to take the love of God into homes, pubs, shops and people’s lives, and throughout December we’ve been running a busy programme of events aiming to do just that. Some highlights are listed here: also see our Services and Events page.
Christmas Eve/Day services
Candlelit Carol Service
Sunday December 21 at 7.00 pm
We joined with members and friends from Selly Park Baptist Church to sing traditional carols led by a choir and instrumentalists, who also presented some solo songs. A big crowd stayed afterwards for mulled wine and mince pies.
Carol singing in pubs is an ancient tradition which we are more than happy to preserve! We launched the Christmas festivities at the Selly Park Tavern on Monday December 1.
On Friday December 19 we were at a very cheerful Highbury pub in Dads Lane.
On Saturday December 6 we joined friends from Selly Park Baptist Church at the Stirchley Co-op.
Christmas Coffee Mates
Friday December 12, 10.30 am – noon
All money raised today and during the last few months will go to the Kenya Kindergarten project.
