The Christmas message in three words: God With Us. At Christ Church we celebrate Jesus’ birth and all that it means in a variety of ways and for all age groups: lively and reflective, young and old. When Steph Evans ran a short “hints and tips” art course she never imagined that it would turn into a valued weekly activity at Christ Church. Now, 5 years later, she is standing down as leader of Art Group, but the group will continue to meet informally on Friday mornings.
Loved for Life, running over the first two weeks of June 2017, was designed as a celebration: of God’s love for us, of the difference it makes in our lives, and of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the congregation that became today’s Christ Church. It was also an invitation to everyone to discover God’s love for themselves.
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement which invites Christians to pray for more people to come to faith in Jesus. Christ Church is participating in a programme of events along with other churches in South Birmingham.
In February 2017 we held our first ever All-In service. People of all ages responded to the theme of God’s love through a range of different activities spread throughout the building.
