Welcoming Megan Gibbins

Megan with her family outside Birmingham Cathedral

On the Sunday that Megan Gibbins was ordained in Birmingham Cathedral, we held a special lunch to welcome her as curate at Christ Church.

Getting to know you

We had met Megan a few weeks earlier when she took a break from her studies to visit us with her family. Geoff interviewed her during a Sunday morning service and asked about her previous career in education, her special interests and the preparations she was making before joining us. You can hear the interview using the link below.

Big day, big welcome

Megan’s ordination service took place at Birmingham Cathedral on the morning of Sunday July 6. Some members of Christ Church joined her friends and family among the guests at the service. Afterwards they all came back to join the rest of us for a lunch and celebration which filled our main hall.
